I am a professional dancer, I started to dance at the tender age of two and a half. I worked my way through the ISTD exams and performed in lots of shows like many kids do but by the age of 15 I knew that performing was what I wanted to do for a career. I know this probably sounds really cheesy, but dancing really is in my blood, I can't keep still, if there is music playing, I will dance! I dance around Asda (when no one is looking obviously) I can't help it, I tap my feet whilst waiting in line or at the train station. Other fellow dancers will know exactly what I mean, the urge to dance is sometimes unstoppable. Anyway, I trained at Kate Simmons School of dance where I did my full time 3 year professional dance training, I studied Cechetti Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, pas de deux, tap and flamenco. I graduated with a level 6 NQF National diploma in professional dance from Trinity College London, I also obtained my Advanced 2 certificate in ballet, tap and modern as well as my Cecchetti Ballet teaching qualification. In 2006 I got my first ever professional job as a dancer with The Stadium Theatre Company who provided the big production shows for some of the P&O Fleet. I did a few contracts with them then went on to get further contracts with Headliners Theatre Company who also provide shows for the P&O fleet. All in all I have spent the best part of 5 years at sea and loved every minute of it. I have been so lucky, I have managed to travel most of the world whilst doing a job I love, performing in some spectacular shows and wearing some fabulous costumes. Now I feel it is time to see where else this career can take me hence why I am now studying for the BAPP at Middlesex University with the hope it can open more doors and lead to new horizons. Let the next chapter begin.....
